After leaving Victoria, heading for Nanaimo, a stopover at Duncan and Chemainus is anticipated. In Duncan, you will hike past the dozens of totem poles that are marked with 'feet' on a footpath in the city and in Chemainus, you will discover gems of murals at various places in the town. Then the ferry takes you from Nanaimo to Horseshoe Bay (payable locally) after which you travel on to Vancouver.
