Fort Myers, FL
Fort Myers is situated in the southwest of Florida at the Golf of Mexico. The city was founded in 1886 and named after Colonel Abraham Myers. Fort Myers Beach is known for the beautiful white sandy beaches. From here you can easily reach the islands of Sanibel and Captiva. At Fort Myers it is possible to visit the "Winter Estates" of Thomas Edison ("Seminole Lodge") and of Henry Ford ("The Mangoes").
