In the morning, we continue on the plantation road and pass by the famous Oak Alley Plantation for a visit. A superb residence with its alleys shaded by century-old oaks. Lunch at the plantation. Continuation to the capital of Louisiana, Baton Rouge. Small tour of the city to discover the Capitol, then the famous Louisiana State University which participates in a very important way in the local economy and on which depends among other things the Rural Life Museum that you will visit. The open-air museum is composed of houses and equipment typical of the early 19th century.  Check in at the hotel. Dinner and overnight in Baton Rouge.

Bâton Rouge - Saint Francisville - Natchez

This morning, departure to Saint Francisville for the visit of a magnificent plantation in the region. Visit the beautiful Rosedown Plantation and its gardens inspired by those of Versailles. Lunch in Saint Francisville. Continuation to Natchez, in the neighboring state of Mississippi, a charming southern city that has kept its historical character. Visit of Natchez with its downtown mansions dating from the 19th century. Dinner and overnight in Natchez.

Natchez - Atchafalaya - Lafayette

This morning, visit the Frogmore Cotton Plantation, the only remaining cotton plantation, for both a historical and modern tour of the evolution of cotton work from the early 18th century to the present day. Lunch and afterwards, continue to Lafayette. In the afternoon, visit of Lafayette and notably the Cathedral and the Old Oak. Then passage to the Atchafalaya basin. Optional flat-bottom boat ride to discover this swampy region. Return to Lafayette and free time to prepare for dinner. Typical "Fais Dodo" dinner. You will taste the Louisianan specialties in a relaxed atmosphere with Cajun music. After a few dance steps on the dance floor, all you have to do is "Let the good times roll". Night in Lafayette.

Lafayette - Saint Martinville - Houma

Departure for Saint Martinville, a town that in the 19th century was called "Little Paris" and is a rare example in the United States of a very European village structure. The history of the Evangeline will be told to you.  Lunch. Then departure for Avery Island. Visit of the famous Tabasco Fabric then visit of the exotic garden of Avery Island, near the Gulf of Mexico and its famous Jungle Gardens and Bird Sanctuary. Continue to Morgan City, the shrimp capital of the world. Arrival in Houma in the late afternoon and check in at the hotel. Dinner and accommodation on site.

Houma - Thibodaux - New Orleans

In the morning, boat tour in the surrounding marshes, the famous bayous where you may meet some "crocrodries", the name given to the alligators of the region. Then, departure for Thibodaux where a landscape of prairies and sugar cane fields reigns. Continue through the marshlands of Terrebonne. Lunch will be served. Departure to New Orleans. In the afternoon, city tour of New Orleans and among other neighborhoods and buildings, you can admire the Garden District, from where you will take the Tramway named desire. Dinner and accommodation in the city center.
