OAHU is the most populous island, with beaches like Waikiki Beach and Sunset Beach and a multitude of cultures. The many hotels on the coast near the capital, Honolulu, betray a bustling vacation activity. The north, on the other hand, is much quieter, and the brilliant surf makes this coast extremely popular with surfers. A tour around the island brings you to Diamond Head (a sleeping volcano), Hanauma Bay, tropical gardens interspersed with sugar cane fields and pineapple plantations, and of course not forgetting Pearl Harbor and the sunken USS Arizona. Some more Hawaiian music and dance and the atmosphere is set.

BIG ILAND also known as "Hawaii" is the largest of the archipelago. Far from the souvenirs and bustle of Waikiki, the small towns and beautiful coastline have retained their enchanting character. North of Kona there are many exclusive hotels on dark lava beaches and in the hinterland an abundance of coffee and 'Macademia nut plantations'. One of the main attractions is undoubtedly the Volcanoes National Park. The Crater Rim Road allows you to drive around the crater and stop at ancient and recent lava flows. The beautiful 'Rainbow Falls', the orchid farms near Hilo plus the statues of the gods at the historic site 'City of Refuge' complete the round of the island.

On MAUI, Lahaine is one of the most important towns and used to be a haven for whalers. Most, new, large hotels are located at Kaanapali and on the coast at Kihei and Wailea. Many hotels are located on beautiful sandy beaches surrounded by magnificent palm gardens and golf courses. Famous are also the snorkeling excursions to the islet Molokini and in winter we recommend going to see giant humpback whales up close. Other places to visit on the island are, IAO Needle, the dormant volcano Haleakala and the waterfalls and the beautiful route to Hana.
